About

Simone Sobhi is a Brazil- and US-based fashion designer, textile illustrator, and visual artist whose work includes painting, drawing, digital illustration, and time-based media. Having received her MFA in Art and Digital Illustration, she creates animated collages and textile concepts that incorporate a variety of themes and materials. Her work explores the dialectic of growth and decay and examines our complex relationship between the organic and the man-made — translating this vision into fashion, costume, and surface design.

Originally from Brazil, Simone contributed to some of the country’s most iconic cultural moments. She collaborated with Rede Globo de Televisão and worked on large-scale costume design for Carnaval. In 2006, she was commissioned by Coca-Cola to develop uniforms and presentation concepts for its global team during the FIFA World Cup. She has designed prints, fashion concepts, and collections for leading brands such as Lenny Niemeyer, Adidas, Nike, C&A, Renner, Cantão, Fábula, Líder Magazine, Ultralar, and Lazer among others — shaping visual narratives that merged brand identity with trend innovation.

After relocating to the United States, Simone expanded her portfolio with projects for Target, The Pioneer Woman, and FOX Channel, continuing to integrate illustration, fashion, and storytelling in both commercial and creative contexts. As a forecaster, she has developed insights for Nordstrom, Adidas, Nike, and Puma, while her expertise in personal styling and costume design has led her to dress celebrities and design for theatrical productions, reflecting her ability to move fluidly between mainstream fashion, performance, and art-driven work.

Her creative journey has also been recognized by the press. Simone has been featured in interviews and articles in L’Officiel Brasil, Vogue Brasil, Caderno Ela (O Globo newspaper) and other leading fashion and culture publications, highlighting her unique vision and contribution to the contemporary fashion landscape.

Currently, Simone is exploring new intersections of fashion, textile design, and emerging technologies, developing print and surface design concepts that connect innovation with cultural memory. Her practice remains rooted in curiosity and visual experimentation — transforming trends and textures into narratives that move seamlessly from the studio to the runway, from the stage to the digital world.

She has also been recognized with multiple awards for her contributions to design in Brazil, including Digital Watercolor Revelation (2010), Surface Design honors at the Brasil Design Award, distinctions in Fashion Design, Interior Design at Casa Cor, and Product Design with Nadir Figueiredo — reflecting the breadth of her creative expertise across different industries.
